Adam spent his military career managing the nation’s most critical assets within the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, a joint Department of Energy and Navy organization renowned for its zero-defect culture. His expertise is grounded in an elite technical education, including dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was entrusted with the maintenance and operation of $2.5+ billion nuclear submarines, where the standards for safety and performance are absolute. His leadership and technical acumen were consistently recognized; official Navy evaluations ranked him as the #1 officer among 15 exceptional leaders on a dynamic 3-star command staff.

This environment demanded rigorous transparency and accountability, with every process subject to audit by the Department of Defense and Department of Energy. Adam’s success in this system, where he was responsible for everything from multi-million dollar budgets to the direct leadership of 140-person crews, demonstrates a deep-seated commitment to procedural discipline and fiscal responsibility.

From National Security to Real Estate Investment

The same principles of meticulous planning, risk mitigation, and flawless execution that defined Adam’s naval service are the cornerstones of his real estate and investment strategy. After beginning to invest in 2009 while on active duty, he now manages a substantial portfolio, including:

  • Over 50 short-term rental units.

  • A personal portfolio of 48 long-term rental properties.

  • A licensed general contracting company (EG Enterprises LLC) with over 25 years of industry experience, currently building new spec homes in Connecticut.

Peter Claes

Peter Claes is a Managing Principal of Glass House Investing LLC, bringing over 15 years of serial entrepreneurial experience and a proven track record of building and scaling successful ventures in both Europe and the United States. His expertise spans international logistics, real estate investment, property management, and general contracting, providing the firm with a unique and vertically integrated perspective on asset acquisition and management. As a Managing Principal of Glass House Investing LLC, he directs the firm's strategy with a sharp focus on operational efficiency and value creation.

Born in Rumst, Belgium in 1983, Peter began his entrepreneurial journey in 2009. He founded and operated several successful companies in the complex fields of logistics, customs brokerage, and international freight forwarding. These ventures honed his skills in operations management, international trade, and complex systems optimization.

In September 2016, Peter relocated with his family to Connecticut, where he strategically applied his business acumen to the U.S. real estate market. He quickly established a multi-faceted real estate enterprise, demonstrating a keen ability to identify opportunities across the investment spectrum.

His U.S. ventures include:

  • Real Estate Brokerage: As the leader of the CT Valley Team at eXp Realty, he has extensive transactional experience and a deep understanding of market dynamics.

  • Investment & Rentals: He has successfully built and managed a diverse portfolio of short-term, long-term, and multi-family rental properties, giving him firsthand expertise in asset performance and tenant relations.

  • Construction & Services: Through his general contracting firm, EG Enterprises, and CT Home Services, Peter possesses a ground-level understanding of construction costs, renovation management, and value-add strategies that are critical to maximizing investor returns.

Peter's holistic approach—combining transactional expertise, asset management, and construction oversight—is the foundational philosophy of Glass House Investing LLC. He has demonstrated a consistent ability to build businesses from the ground up and navigate multifaceted industries successfully.
